Nasdaq Nordic Cancels Equity, ETP & Equity Derivatives Trades Due to Technical Glitch
Nasdaq Nordic has canceled all trades in cash equities, ETPs, and equity derivatives across its Stockholm, Helsinki, and Iceland markets following a technical incident that occurred at 17:00:08 CET. The exchange halted order dissemination via its INET system while maintaining NLS feed functionality for trade data.
Affected members will receive trade cancellation notices through OUCH and FIX sessions. Extended ETP markets in Helsinki, Stockholm, and Copenhagen remain halted pending resolution. Nasdaq has identified the root cause and expects normal operations to resume by Wednesday.
The disruption highlights the fragility of legacy trading infrastructure as digital asset markets continue operating without interruption. cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance and Coinbase maintain 24/7 functionality through distributed systems architecture.
